I do not think that Garfield needs a reminder to kick Odie around.

There are certain things that just absolutely have to be done. Thankfully Garfield had a reminder to carry out such crucial tasks.

I honestly should take advantage of technology like this more often!

Maybe Odie should get one himself so he can jump off last minute before Garfield gets to him

There was one strip where the alarm went off and woke him up. The punch line was something about how he almost slept through bedtime.
