When I was in my teens I was telling an elderly friend how I make hamburger…take it out of the package, shape it and throw it on the skillet. He actually scoffed and said, "That’s not hamburger, you have to season it, etc… ". That was a long time ago, microwave ovens were just coming on the scene, and I have since then upped my hamburger game.
