Odd for Lisa to give us a reasonably accurate cartoon.. One should not wish COVID-19 on anyone.. but here is hoping trumps rally turns into an example of an absolute disaster.

But, COME ON! The burning of Black Wall Street is an important historical event that needs to be commemorated. And what better way is there to celebrate it than a Trump rally?

At least in a dome, the “enclosed space” has SOME air movement. I expect there will be very little actual care taken (more or less by definition, the folks who are there don’t care). That will directly cause, probably, some hundreds infections, of which something like 5%† will end up dead: Mebbe as many as 25 or so? And of course there will be secondary spread thereafter. I don’t have expertise to say what I think the actual total will come to.
† The drug Dexamethasone has now been shown to reduce deaths of patients on Oxygen and those on ventilators by a significant amount, so that 5% could drop to about 4% or so if the ones who become extremely ill get the best known treatment. It apparently doesn’t help folks who are only “sick”. And it’s readily available, not expensive.
I don’t really give a flying fig if a collection of brain-dead idiots want to go to Tulsa to see their super messiah. A portion of them will die of C-19, sure, but then they’ll go home and infect their smelly friends and relatives – and a portion of them will die. Importantly, they will not be around for the election, being dead ‘n’ all . . .
