That reminds me of when my Dalmatian had a litter. The veterinarian looked at the ultrasound and said there are too many to discern. She ended up having 13 with one stillborn. Since she did not have enough spouts to accommodate them all, I used fingernail paint to mark toenails to discern which was which. Thus I could make sure the weak ones still got fed by tracking weight.
