Trump called on churches to be filled this Sunday, even claiming that he would overrule any states or governors who might decide otherwise, despite a lack of any constitutional authority to overrule the governors in a matter the Constitution clearly leaves to the states (as if a lack of legal authority ever deterred this wannabe dictator before), a point emphasized in the first semester of Constitutional Law (something Constitutional Law professor Barack Obama could have explained to the ignorant Trump).
One would think that this champion of the evangelicals — despite being the poster boy for every one of the seven deadly sins — would support his own mandate by being in a nice, crowded church, sharing the close embrace of fellowship and the communal chalice of communion (in which a sacrament of Kool-Aid laced with Clorox and hydroxychloroquine was served), breathing the shared air of loud sermons and hymns.
But no. Trump ever the hypocrite, was not in the pews, sharing the fellowship of exchanged viral loads.
If Bonespurs only ate as often as he goes to church he’d have starved to death. (Well maybe he gets enough at the buffet and Thanksgiving and Christmas. Like all snakes, he CAN get by only eating every couple months.
Since Trump only believes flash and glitter, he doesn’t understand that True Faith is what’s inside of you and not where you are. Of course, Trump doesn’t know about True ANYTHING.
Matthew 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Once again I’ll say this, it’s over when politicians and CEO’s, and their families as seen in public, mingling and in very close proximity to the average, rank and file population without masks, and not one second before. Until that time, until that happens often, don’t you believe that it’s safe.
We’ve had meetings on reopening of our church, Archdiocese has so many restrictions that even if opened, none of us will come back until restrictions are lifted. Until then, we are online
I’m not the least bit interested in restarting church services. The Zoom meetings we’ve been having are the most inspirational I’ve been to in years. The closeness, the willingness of others to express themselves, the personal involvement as well as the thoughtful messages and discussion make me wish this never stopped. And we’ve been able to reach out electronically far better than the other methods tried in the past. This could be the way to turn around the poor attendance in our churches and lead us to truly spreading the word.

If God doesn’t see his churches full, he might express his great wrath by casting a pandemic upon his sheeples..
