    So many new viruses — mutating to survive — and so few vaccines that work effectively. Working together internationally might save us all but that does not harmonize with current politics.

    I love dystopian future novels, but I can’t work with this, even as outrageous hyperbolic satire. Too much suspension of disbelief required. Even in a worse case scenario with no vaccine or effective treatment developed, it won’t take that long for herd immunity to develop. Though I love the way the hair is depicted after 18 years of quarantine. Hilarious.
