May 4, 2020 was the 50th anniversary of the Kent State murder by the National Guard. Right wingers of my acquaintance have never heard of it. Ruby Ridge certainly.
Inside my head, I am running around screaming at the top of my lungs with my hair on fire. I feel incredibly helpless to affect any change or have any control of the trajectory of my life anymore. Maybe I never did, but I certainly know it now. It seems the values I hold dear have been flushed down the toilet by people that have no minds of their own. This really is the zombie apocalypse. The zombies have taken over and have control of this country.
The T-Rex rant makes no sense whatsoever. If you are helpless to affect any change in your life, it is you who is the zombie. And if all your values have been flushed down the toilet so easily, maybe you had the wrong values. And if the zombies have truly taken over, doesn’t that make them the T-Rex?
“GIMME LIBERTY…. to shoot black guys when I feel like it…. without that I’m nothing…. and I won’t unzip my pants to confirm it…..”…. ah,,, the sad life of the MAGAt……
A quote from Gen. Henry L Benning -Confederate Army (Fort Benning) “This reason may be summed up in one single proposition. It was a conviction, a deep conviction on the part of Georgia, that a separation from the North-was the only thing that could prevent the abolition of her slavery.”
It isn’t even the Cops. “Black Guy Running” apparently is a crime in Georgia.
Arery got shot because he was running. Then he was confronted by people that CHASED HIM DOWN.
The district attorney declined to file charges
Castle Doctrine shouldn’t transfer to the middle of the street around the comer from your house, but I guess it does because George Zimmerman wasn’t convicted.
The DA argued that Mr. Arbery, who appeared to be unarmed, had initiated the fight with Travis McMichael, and was thus “allowed to use deadly force to protect himself.”
So two non-uniformed men with guns pull up in a pick up truck to confront a person and suddenly the unarmed outnumbered man “initiated a fight”? highly unlikely
The two shooters were not police officers. They were effecting a “citizen’s arrest.” No warrant was out on the young man, who had no criminal record. Trying to get away from two armed rednecks in a pick-up means “initiating a fight” had to come straight out of the local Klan Handbook.
A few years ago, in Eastern Oregon during the Malheur National Wildlife occupation, a uniformed law officer shot a white militant who continuously kept reaching for a gun even though the officer was pointing a gun at him and shouting “get down”. To right wingers, that was murder on the part of the law officer. Had he been black, it would have been his own fault.
The Dumpster did speak on this abomination today—said he saw the “video” and said it was wrong what was done and then stated, " but there might have been more on the “video” that he didn’t see. WAFI and a disgrace to this country.
A few days ago I was watching the Silent Hill movie (the first one) I’ve seen it a few times since I have a thing for horror and B-movies, but last time it was different. To put it in context is about a cult that does things that would be out of a rational mind, like making sacrifice offerings and burning people for accusations of witchery. The difference is that this time I imagined them wearing MAGA hats, yet everything seemed to fit right in place. Now that I write this there is also likeness with certain religious nuts character in ‘the Mist’
Since 1960’s, so many deaths, Jackson State-2, Kent State 6, Augusta 6 and so it goes..We have never faced up to the necessary changes since Jim Crow laws and reconstruction was never completed in USA.
In regards to the Arbery case, The guy in the “Chase” vehicle, the guy heard loading a weapon, Thought that the video he released would Exonerate the two thugs. That is a great example on how the right wing gun nuts have completely departed from reality.

Every once in awhile a political cartoon does a masterful job in making an important point. This is one of those cartoons.

They came out by the millions. They were dormant. They now walk among us. Please get out and vote; we have to outnumber them to destroy them.
