I live in an area in Arkansas that has several small lakes. People swim and fish these lakes. Even my oldest son used to take his belly boat out and fish in one particular lake. There are several alligators in these lakes. The one he was fishing has at least two very large alligators. Once he found that out (about 4 years ago), he no longer uses his belly boat in that lake! He now fishes from the banks and keeps an eye out for any ’gators. Oh, and these lakes are inside the city limits.
