My family was sent a box of the stuff to evaluate and test. The original formula stuck to your teeth so badly you couldn’t get it off with dynamite!

I never liked it. Tried it a couple of times but wound up taking the box outside and dumping it for the birds or raccoons or who or whatever might find it to their liking.

I never understood why anyone would feed it to their kids.

But tastes vary. I’m sure that there are those who found it delicious and thought it a healthy food for all.

Ate Grape Nuts all the time as a kid. We weren’t allowed pre-sweetened cereal.

We had the choice of Corn Flakes, Wheaties, Grape Nuts or the thingies that were shaped like (and tasted like) hay bales.

    I always chose Grape Nuts.

Is that what happened to my teeth?

Original Cap’n Crunch just tastes like sugar, but the peanut butter version is good. I also enjoy a bowl of Fruit Loops every now and then.
