One of my right-tilting friends pointed out that UV light has actually been used to purify blood: The blood is shunted through a chamber where it’s irradiated, then pumped back into the body. Since he’s who he is, I didn’t bother to see if it actually worked  nor how often it’s been tried.

As dangerous and stupid as Trump’s suggestions are, there is a factor which is being ignored here; the production of vitamin D from spending time in sunlight. There is evidence that vitamin D helps reduce the effects of COVID-19. (ex: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/32252338).

So, “inject” light into your body by spending some time each day in the sun (longer if your skin is darker; Dr. John Campbell has pointed out that people with darker skin produce vitamin D more slowly). But try not to turn orange.
