Anyone watching that occasion could see that Trump was being serious, and that he obviously thought he was having one of his stable genius moments. What a moron.
He thought he was being pretty smart until the backlash from the news media.Interesting how this is his embarrassment reaction. Just don’t wanna talk about it.
I am a retired teacher. Once in awhile while teaching my 10th grade history class a student, while answering a question, would inadvertently say something that was monumentally stupid and embarrassing. When this student embarrassed himself like that I would feel so bad for him. After all, this was a 10th grader who wasn’t knowledgeable enough to know how wrong he was. When this happened I would be unable to stop the other students in the class from snickering at the poor kid. Occasionally, the mistaken student would dig his grave even deeper by saying, “I didn’t mean it. I was just kidding.” Kids of that age have a very hard time admitting they were wrong about something. Of course, that just made things worse and everyone would laugh at him even harder. At that point I felt even worse for the kid.
All this came to mind when Trump said he was just kidding about injecting disinfectant into the body. The difference, obviously, is that Trump is not a 10th grade student.
His advisors should have imposed a 48 hour cooling off period between him thinking of something and then tweeting it or using the sharpie. But it’s good in that these things show what an ignorant xenopobic, narcissistic, sociopath he really is.
From “The Mask Of Sanity”, Section Two: “The Material” :
" … the psychopath can typically tell vivid, lifelike, plausible stories that are completely fraudulent, without evincing any element of delusion. When confronted with a lie, the psychopath is unflappable and can often effortlessly pass it off as a joke."
Pretty sad when Trump’s own cabinet and reelection committee wants him to shut up so he stops hurting his own campaign… sadder when Trumpers continue to claim that this is the best leadership possible…
This cartoon is misleading. I have seen the news footage where this occurred. Mr. Trump did not “tell the U. S. public” to do these things. He asked Dr. Birx if such a thing was possible, or could be “looked into” as a future solution. Why he came back the next day with the “being sarcastic” excuse is beyond me. To me, it felt like he was seriously speculating if the medical experts could come up with some sort of cure off of disinfectants. But again, at no time in that initial briefing did he tell the public to actually do it.
These are all very good points and views. I think what the Donald Trump presidency (or regime if you prefer), has brought new light (or old to some), at how some parts of our beloved government truly operate. And as I posted elsewhere, I saw a TV interview years ago asking Mr. DT if he ever ran for president, what party would he run under. And he said the Republican party because they’re STUPID! I don’t know about you all, but that told me plenty!

It’s a good thing there’s something sharp around him. Maybe he’ll try running with it…

FAKE NEWS. There’s no way that he knows how to spell a multisyllabic word like “sarcastically”.

He just cares about the election, and he thinks the only way he’ll win is to fix the economy. He doesn’t care about the people; they are expendable.
