How do you fairly apportion the bailout money which is 15% of what is needed?
I saw a fine suggestion today in a different venue: Instead of giving out any business loans, why not just split the money that was spent equally among citizens. That much money would have supported people for quite a lot longer than the silly / slap-in-the-face one-time $1200… and presumably, the folks would spend it, thus supporting the whole economy. Of course that suggestion, being sane, useful and (gasp) liberal had no chance at all.
The Republicans (pre-Nixon-Goldwater) used to know the difference between assets and liabilities, the current greedy, neoliberal, “Republicans” have no clue.
Haven’t gotten mine, but then i know i didn’t ask for enough. Think a sole proprietor one-man shop should request 18 million? Might just work… Hmm, could I get by on 18 mill? Might have to let one of the upstairs maids go, but i think i could survive.
Note for political cartoonists: Russian propagandist and hacker mills are going after political cartoonists now by blocking sites and denial of service attacks.
Cloudflare has announced that it is working to prevent these problems. It might be a good thing for GoComics to look into.
We are not employed by Cloudflare and have no economic interest in them. This is just a news piece we ran into today that might help GoComics, its political cartoonists, and those of us who appreciate their work.
Since my mailed GoComics collection arrived without any picture content today, forcing me to use the website I found the notice an interesting coincidence, since those attacks could have exactly this result.
The Repulsicans are a little weak on CONSTITUTIONAL LAW and laws in general. They’ve never let it slow down the practice of sticky-finger law and order.
