Courage? Well, maybe. But being a REAL Doctor or Nurse requires a vocation for it. If you weren’t born for either one, it will knock the slats out of you. That stuff isn’t what you do. It’s what you are.If you weren’t born to do it, what’s “courage” going to do for you?
“Courage”. When you STILL work fighting a loathsome, perilous disease using make believe PPE because of those sh*t for brains politicians you need more than “Courage”.
Spent four decades working in search and rescue, EMT, and other outside ways to practice emergency medicine in the outdoors, and then pass the folks off to the docs who were stuck in hospitals or offices. Know and worked with lots of people who did the same. Daughter is an RN working intensive care. I’d rather be hanging off a cliff bringing down someone who broke himself.
Yeah, but there’s one guy who didn’t have to do all that, he trusts his fat gut and look where it got him……….no, no please don’t look, even horror tales won’t go there.
Too bad that there isn’t an OUNCE of courage to be found ANYWHERE inside the walls of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue… EXCEPT when Dr. Fauci basically tells fat-ass that he has NO CLUE as to what he’s babbling about! Now THAT takes Courage!
My old friend, the internist at Mt Sinai Hospital in Queens, is recovering at home after a bout with Wuhan Flu. She’ll be going right back to work when she’s able.
Facing the enemy head on is something foreign to trump.. he (the trump) leads from behind making absolutely sure he has a full compliment of excuses to fall back on.
Charming art and content, both. Y’know, those science and math requirements for Premed are largely a screening mechanism. Physicians aren’t scientists (unless they choose to go into research) and I don’t think a doctor ever has to use calculus, integral or differential. A strong stomach is, however, a realistic need. Even for dermatology.

Alas, it requires more courage than it ought to because not enough PPE and not enough sleep and no way to go home without endangering your family.

Sadly when the president says ‘courage’ as pertains to doctors it just doesn’t ring true.

Which, when it comes to holding the Democratic establishment to account, you most assuredly don’t have.
