This cartoon works on so many levels. And I don’t understand any of them.

Kliban once singled this out as his favorite among his own cartoons. It’s possible that his then-wife, cartoonist Mary Kay Brown, first chose it for publication.
I doubt anybody really walked that way but how else do you show a walking motion in a two-dimensional pictograph?
