Hard as it is, make sure that this is the time you can make awesome memories for the kids, and change their habits. Family game night, and simple fun. No electronics.
My oldest child rode without training wheels for the first time yesterday. My youngest will be there within a couple weeks if this continues. That alone time at home with dad and mom will be awesome. And it’ll show them how to cope with stress and upheaval.
Our girls are away at university and living in that city’s lockdown. No flying anywhere. The cats are seemingly pissed at me for being home all the time. The doggos and the Mrs are loving it because I can take the dogs out for walks and she can work uninterrupted. The Mrs likes it because she can get interrupted in the afternoon when the mood strikes.
Build model ships. Or cars, aircraft, tanks. Start again that model train layout that you had in your youth. READ a book or two! Go to the closet and retrieve Scrabble, Monopoly, Risk, Chess! Trivial Pursuit! As much as I like to support my local brick & mortar hobby stores, (I owned one once), they are closed now, but there are many on-line sources!(For ONE, go to www.modelwarships.com)

Home on the range eventually disappears when the hands on jobs do.
