I had a fervently liberal friend in California just ask me about gun ownership. Not a bad thing that these people are starting to understand the need for individuals to be able to protect themselves. It’s just another part of responsible citizenship in a free society.
You can go to a gun store and walk out with the gun after the background check “90 percent of cases.” Or you can go to any private seller, gun show, etc. and walk out with all the guns you want. Once again, Lester is doing his jihad against the truth. [https://www.thetrace.org/2015/07/gun-background-check-nics-guide/]
The Hot Spot State of California has a 10 day wait no Gun Shows or Private Sales, background checks for ammo and all the gun stores closed for a while before the were deemed essential. None of it matters much seeing finding a Glock is as likely as a 12pak of TP at Walmart right now, every store has been stripped of all Weapons and Ammo. I wonder if this will change Californians take on “easy to find” Guns with a couple million new Gun Owners ? Nah I doubt it, that is unless we fall into a Boogaloo then EVERYTHING will change.
Why would you worry about pandemics, quarantines, shortages, and lawlessness? The great President Trump is in charge! Oh wait, I may have answered my own question…
Federal law requires background checks for commercial gun sales, but not for private-party sales whereby any person may sell a firearm to an unlicensed resident of the same state as long as they do not know or do not have reasonable cause to believe the purchaser is prohibited from receiving or possessing firearms under Federal law. …"
I didn’t realize a gun was useful in protecting yourself from the virus. Mr. Lester must be a prepper getting ready for the hordes of invading citizens invading his bunker for toilet paper.
That’s right. Do not believe misinformation posted by a cartoonist. Here are the facts on purchase restrictions: [https://www.dailydot.com/debug/gun-laws-by-state/]
Gun stores have been deemed ‘essential businesses’. The morons who think they can shoot the virus, can get a gun. Of course, they’ll putting themselves at actual risk, rather than the imaginary threat ginned up by ghouls like Mikey.

Depends on the state. And whether you follow the rules. Which is why most of us would love to see consistent federal regulation.

No one should get more guns. We really don’t need a more dangerous environment right now.

Not everyone should own a gun. It’a matter of choice. But today the gov. of California released 21 violent prisoners 19 murderers:

I feel so much safer with 100s of thousands dying and huge groups of MAGAts with more guns than what was the current population of the nation. /s
