It’s not racist, so much as trying to divert attention from The Messiah’s failures and lying.

As Trump Disciple Henry is trying to do with this cartoon.

It’s just “the” Coronavirus Covid-19. Unless the Chinese made  it (or, maybe, caused  it). The rest of the panels are just stupid. I guess it’s a “Payne cartoon” which is IQist.

The virus doesn’t have a national identity, nor does it care about yours.

What we named pandemics when blackface & Charlie Chan were deemed acceptable, isn’t helpful when Asian Americans are literally getting stabbed in the face.

    Drop the partisan bs.

MAGAts feeding from Trump’s racism are attacking the Asian community. Payne seems to enjoy ignoring that.

But … But it is ALL going to “Miraculously” dissipate! Right Henry?

    Trump Told us it would!

Thousands or Hundreds of thousands of people aren’t going to Die because of the unforgivable actions of the administration!

Like Flying US citizens back from China on a plane with No Precautions to keep the infected apart from the non-infected?

Hannity told me to Go out, Go meet people. It’s just the Flu.

Trump Derangement Syndrome is People like you that believe Obvious Lies.

Actually I think the four balloons are right, with the possible exception of the one about Spanish Flu. It was called like that because the Spanish press was the only one to openly discuss it. In other countries, news of it were suppressed by censorship, not to distract from the WWI effort.

The first incidence of the “Spanish Flu” was actually in Kansas. While it is likely the infection was first caught in Europe during WWI, it was still named so and was used as a tool of isolationists to say that we should not have entered the war.

When it is used by the President to evoke nationalism to be used for his re-election, then, yes, it is racist.

Racist Trump crossed out Corona and wrote in Chinese virus, there is a picture.

He did this on purpose to stir up racism among the base like Payne.

You really can’t reason with people like Payne and those who support tRump. Most don’t recognize their own bigotry and racism as bigotry and racism. But they all seem to have ‘TDS’.’ tRump Defense Syndrome’.

    The actual name is COVID-19.

Why do you feel the NEED to label a virus with a nationality when THAT ISN’T ITS NAME?

WHY would you MAKE UP YOUR OWN NAME that draws attention to a nationality?

What, exactly, is GAINED by doing this?

NOTHING is gained. Which means the ONLY reason for doing it is to stoke bigotry.

Mr. Payne has it wrong, but he is consistent. “Trump Derangement Syndrome” (TDS) is displayed by people who mimic Trump Behavior, and, of course, by Mr. Trump himself. One example of TDS is the behavior that Mr. Payne is pleased to display for us on a consistent basis. We have yet to see any psychiatric diagnosis.

OK, for the record and in the name of critical thinking: Typhoid Mary is not a misogynistic name. It is the nickname give to Mary Mallon, an Irish cook in the late 19th / early 20th centuries who infected 51 people, 3 of whom died, with typhoid while herself being asymptomatic. To the best of my knowledge, the name is applied equally to similar persons of either gender under similar circumstances. Which in no way exonerates ANYone who uses this current disaster to further his political aspirations or run for a second term of president by stoking hatred in potential voters, mentioning no names, of course.

Ummm…. no. TDS is the personality cult that SOME Trump supporters have with respect to Mr. Trump. And many illnesses have originated in China, including many viruses. None of them, when they have spread to the rest of the world, have any association with China. If tomorrow, China was annexed by Bhutan, it would have no direct effect on the epidemic in the US. This virus is in no way more “Chinese” than any other virus, in and of itself. Just because Karl Marx was German does not mean that Marxism is a “German ideology”. Meanwhile, some people of Chinese origin have been victims of hate crime because of Covid-19. https://www.cnn.com/2020/02/20/us/coronavirus-racist-attacks-against-asian-americans/index.html

Trump continuing to call Covid-19 “the Chinese virus” while saying that China’s president Xi is a great guy is ridiculous.

Trump singled out Dianne Feinstein regarding insider trading; she is the only Dem while there are three or four Repubs involved. He got mad at a reporter this morning who said the Repubs’ names at the press conference because Trump only wanted to bring up Feinstein.

Trump and his supporters like Payne are deranged – they have convinced themselves that Trump tells the truth, and that he is doing a great job.
