Fortunately, the legislature actually decided to work together on something, so it’ll be a little better than that.

The Trump Blimp will deliver a giant banana. Note: Better not paint the blimp orange or yellow.

$1.5 TRILLION to corporations, thousands of times more than is going to a pandemic response. That’s $4,500 for every man, woman, and child in the U.S. No bill, no involvement by Congress, no say from the American people, just a dictate to the Fed. Then they rail against spending on social problems.

    Ain’t democracy great? /s

More assistance could be coming with new bills.

The paid leave portion of the new bill applies only to companies with 500 or fewer employees, requiring them to offer up to 14 days of paid leave. That can include infected people, caretakers, and guardians whose children’s schools have been closed. But as the New York Times editorial board noted, workers at companies with 501 or more employees comprise about half of all workers. Many of these companies already offer some form of paid sick time — 89 percent of them, according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics… https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2020/3/14/21179925/coronavirus-house-bill-paid-leave-leave-out-millions-workers

Trump doesn’t need much of an excuse to float another giant tax cut for the wealthy. They get cranky without one every other year. As for the MAGAts they don’t believe in that old proverb fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. They’ll never even acknowledge the first part of the first part. Trump is just a con man in a $2000 suit, a golden bale of hay for hair and a agent orange spray tan.
