Yes, you, even just little ol’ you CAN help slow the spread (look up “flatten the curve”) and in fact we all need you (and you and you… and me) to act responsibly to make that happen. So please check your ego at the door and do what you want other people to do: Stay home except when you can’t. Wash your hands a lot. Stay home even if you want to go out. Don’t touch your face. Stay home despite your (grand)parent having a birthday at the veteran’s home. Wear a mask if you have a cough or sneeze. And wash your hands.

Duh. He’s never responsible for anything that goes wrong. He’s always 1st in line to take credit when something goes well.
It’s like religion. When something good happens to a religious person, he or she chalks it up to God. When something bad happens, it’s the Devil’s fault.
Trump said “I am officially declaring a national emergency, two very big words,” I can imagine. One has 3 syllables and the other has four! Both have more than seven letters in them.
Notice how before any of his minions speak they talk about how wonderful and smart he is, nobody has ever done anything better, they have to praise him for a few minutes before they say what they were going to say. And I thought Clinton got a lot of BJ’s in the Oval Office.
My wife didn’t think it was all that bad: “Death rate is only 3%”, she noted. I multiplied that by the national population of 333 million (if it were left entirely free to run its course) and came up with about 10 million casualties. (For comparison, car crashes cause about 35,000-40,000 and influenza, depending on the season, can rack up anywhere from 10,000 to 60,000.)
I’m wondering how funeral homes are going to handle this — scores of people coming in from hundreds of miles away, hugging, crying, and sniveling all over each other, some of them elderly themselves, other little mobile Petri dishes. Oh, well, I suppose it’ll be good for business, and that’s all that really counts, right?
Ya just gotta know that right now, at this very moment, somewhere in America the run-of-the-mill evil right-wingers are trying to figure out how to use this to suppress voter turnout, while the extra-evil ones are working out the angles on declaring martial law.
