National Drink Wine Day. I don’t drink wine or any type of alcohol, but I could drink grape juice and just call it pre-wine. But I don’t have any grape juice in the house either. The closest I could come (and it isn’t very close) is to eat a sandwich with grape jam. I do have some of that in the house.
National Crab Stuffed Flounder Day. I looked this up to make sure they didn’t mean it was National Crab Day and National Stuffed Flounder Day and they just got them sort of grouped together by mistake. But nope – they meant it the way they said it. Here is part of what it said:
“Crab and flounder take center stage on February 18th when National Crab Stuffed Flounder Day arrives each year. The day recognizes the unique, flavorful delight when crab and flounder combine.
This one-of-kind dish is composed of a stuffing made with crab meat, bread crumbs, butter, and seasonings, which is stuffed into the whole flounder or rolled up into the fillets and baked."
If the Great Orange Menace thinks Annies’ cooking is bad, he should come to my house. He’d be forever gratefulto have Annie back. I can do a lot of things, but cooking isn’t one of them.

Time to send Chesney to the loading dock. What an ungrateful jerk! On another note, saw a varied thrush and a spotted towhee while out walking today. I also heard an owl.
Today my neighbor came over to ask if his 2 year old daughter’s pony could stay in my pasture with my lonely old donkey. I said YES!. Then I asked if he had seen a mottled orange and black cat in the neighborhood…(my barn cat, Hallie). He said yes, that is our cat. I laughed and said it came to eat in the barn everyday when I feed the donkey, and I though of her as my cat. No wonder that she is getting plump…she’s getting fed at two places every day…and I feed 2 x a day.
