Iowa has become less and less the state that’s an accurate harbinger of the rest of the primary season. And then they go and prove that they don’t understand the problems of actually using a newly released system, and set themselves up to fail, with an inadequate fall back system and training that was far from sufficient.

There’s a lot to be said for going back to a pure paper system in an era of hackers.

Yeah! The Democrats suck so much! They don’t even have a compulsive lying, sexual predator, philandering, fraudulent, senile, incompetent, douche-bag traitor to run against our glorious chosen one! Deerrrrrrrrrp!

I’m not sure how the democrats are responsible for the shambles of the Iowa caucuses. I understood it was the introduction of a new electronic tabulation system that failed. I don’t really understand how the Iowa caucuses work either. Of course, I don’t understand a lot of things at my age.

We REALLY need to change the entire system to one that’s FAIR! #1: ALL PRIMARIES ON THE SAME DAY! Polls open at 7 A.M. Eastern, close at 7 P.M. Pacific. NO news network “Predictions”, NO exit polls, things like that. #2: The candidate that wins the MOST VOTES nationwide is the Party’s candidate. Period. If a run-off is needed, it is held one week later. #3: The presidential Election is 6 weeks later. Same Rules. Polls open 7 A.M. Eastern, Close at 7 P.M. Pacific. NO Predictions, exit polls… WHOEVER GETS THE MOST VOTES NATIONWIDE IS THE WINNER!!!

Perhaps.. this would be a good time to evaluate the importance of Iowa when it comes to picking the next president.

You can’t spin this, the Democrats screwed up and are responsible. The Iowa Democrat chiefs waited until two months before to ask for the app, barely tested it, Shadow Inc (the app maker) admitted it had problems, sent out the app with no training, and then the Democrats didn’t instruct their staff how to handle the problem – they were turning away and hanging up on the caucus leaders bringing in the votes.

What does it really matter if the final tally isn’t available until the end of the week? Like who’s gonna lose big time by not knowing? This is just childish impatience carried to an unacceptable degree and used by the opposition to fabricate conspiracy theories to undermine confidence in truth.

Trump carried Iowa in 2016. That was a hell of a bigger screwup than this caucus.

Meh… Just as in baseball, it doesn’t matter where you are at the start of the season just the end. :-)
