Suggests that America is eclipsed by Trump’s brash, bold, and gilded facade. Glimmers of light suggest an increasingly corroded structure veiled by an ever more tired, worn and moth-eaten shroud of bombast, lies, and bluster. Let there be light.
Nice image, and not a retread. My only quibble is the implication that the Blue/Red divide corresponds to East/West, but I don’t think that making the image more accurate would improve it…
I doubt that Gorrell realizes how this looks. As @TimeToGo pointed out: A dark shadow dividing a once great nation. Note, too, that he’s drawn pieces falling off where the shadow has encroached. And finally: Why the pastel pink and blue? We all know that the Red states are mostly “southrun” with some midwest… and Idaho. and the blue states are mostly coastal (except the south). That’s just odd…
as others have pointed out, why is the left side of the map blue and the right side red?
The middle being dark with bits falling out makes it look more like Trump destroyed the midwest than that Trump has divided America.
A better way to show the division would be to take the 2016 electoral map and break up all the blue states and put them in the middle and all the red states on the right side.

Wait a minute….Isn’t there a law against implying that the chosen one is responsible for anything, ever?

Accidentally, Gorrell shows how self-centered #45 is!

Darkest stain the nation has ever seen, and that may include the little dustup with the Confederacy.
