When I picked up Ben last night, I felt a little more weight on him. He was so light and thin when I got him but after 3 weeks of non stop eating, he’s porking up.

Some posts ago someone pointed out that this arc didn’t seem current . I tend to agree as nowadays Annie is much more attractive and Oliver and Woof wouldn’t join in Chesney’s PLOT.

Even football haters had to be thrilled by the last 14 minutes of Super Bowl last night. It was astonishing. I live in a small rural Missouri town, everyone’s fireworks went off, the dogs howled and the cat’s hid. Some fun.

No update and it’s almost 4:00 in the morning and I still haven’t gone to bed. I’m going to bed in a minute, but first -

Holy cow! it’s after 10:30 central time and still no new strip. I was going to post the “holidays” for Tuesday if the new strip appeared. I already did it but I was going to repost it on today’s strip. But no new strip.

Okay, either GoComics is slow in loading, and I’m trapped in GROUNDHOG DAY.

On another note, I hate to say that Lovebug’s health has been going downhill. While she responded some at first to the Baytril ear drops, she got worse again. She just lays in her cat bed, curled up in a tight ball and doesn’t even lift her head. She isn’t eating or drinking and seems to have given up on life. But I am not ready to give up. I don’t want something as simple as an ear infection to take her life. I need to try something more before I give up on her. So, last night, just before I went to bed, I sent my vet an email (in case I didn’t get a chance to call him before going to lunch this morning . I need to leave here in about 45 minutes) and I asked if we could try an oral antibiotic. I said that it sounded a little crazy to me that an oral antibiotic could help, but I wanted to know if he’d be willing to try it. I figured if I sent the email, it would give him a chance to figure something out before I would try calling this afternoon when I get home from lunch. Anyway, I just got a call back from the vet and he said that if the infection has moved deeper into the ear, an oral antibiotic could be called for and he is getting up a prescription for me to pick up later today. So, I’m hoping this will be the cure. I’ll certainly keep you updated how she does on the antibiotic.

10:10 AM! Graham has gotten lost in the wilds, we must organize a search party quick!
