Back in October, there was a horse called “Buster’s Dad” which several UK readers including myself saw as a reference to “Buster – Son of Andy Capp” in Buster Comic. The horse’s in today’s strip may also refer to Buster comic strips. One of them certainly seems to as there was a strip called “Boxatricks” in Buster during the late 1970s. It was drawn by Brian Walker who had drawn “Scream Inn” for Shiver And Shake and had continued this strip in Whoopee!for another three years.

Andy’s limitations are limitless when it comes to betting on horses.
