Wish we would get some cold weather and some snow in eastern NC. It has been an exceptionally warm winter. Finally down to average of 51 high 33 lows. Usually have seen some snow once or twice by now.
During the Winter of the Blue Snow (so cold even the snow turned blue, as well as a certain big ox calf), Paul Bunyan cured his foreman Hels Helson of swearing by collecting the words as the froze coming out of his mouth, then bombarded Hels with them when they thawed out in the spring.

Was the second singer/whistler Rose or a lady bird? A lady bird would perhaps replace singularity.
