That wouldn’t be a bad idea, really. Bear in mind that there’s an old saying…“he who pays the piper calls the tune”. Are the sponsors encouraging some news items while discouraging others?

That was a major problem back when cigarettes were more popular (last century).

Is “60 Minutes” still on the air?

It’s about time someone investigates the sponsors.

That report would be called “A whitewash”!

“It turns out that our sponsors are all the BEST in their categories! Who would’ve guessed?!!?!?”

It is never a good idea for a show to mess with its sponsors.

Now its a matter of corrupt politicians investigating other corrupt politicians. (Hint, there is no such thing as a non-corrupt politician)

I got a better idea. Investigate, the senate.

No, no they will not. Not under any circumstances will they investigate the source of their salaries.

Nope.
