I’ve been pushing for years to have a more minimalist Christmas as far as gifts are concerned

This year I got a small handful of relatively inexpensive items

All stuff I could use and nothing unnecessary to add to the clutter

    Good Christmas

Didn’t W. Bush say that everyone should go shopping to show those terrorists?

This is AMERICA. We commemorate the birth of a Savior in a stable with an orgy of consumerism and greed. Get with the program.

Santa Claus is coming and the children are getting greedy.

Well, presently our biggest economic engine is consumer spending. So points for a cranky Winslow (which I would have expected Carmen to making the objections if they went to type).

But our consumerism and capitalistic ways, being used all over the world, are literally killing the planet. Not saying we have to destroy our lifestyle, but people could still be comfortable, well fed and keep the planet clean.

And…….wait for my branding as a “socialist” dictator……..

Lets give up idolization if material possessions. Likewise lets give up idolatry of ourselves and behaviors that harm us.

Embrace Jesus as the year round, life long ultimate gift!

Give a HUUUGE gift, go feed the homeless, volunteer, help make your community better. People will thank you and you’ll feel great. It is a small but important step in turning our nation away from the cold, cruel people we have become.
