Ah yes, the Chrismas impersonal newsletter with a long list of “accomplishments” that I get instead of a personal greeting from an old acquaintance … much like a long tedious State of the Union address.
A thoughtful idea that some take to greater lengths. Doesn’t mean the writer cares any the less for the reader. It just means they are sharing more of their lives.
