I’m assuming that’s nickname is a part of sarcasm that’s known amongst the Commonwealth nations (here in Australia, the U.K. and N.Z etc.)

Must’ve been related to Honest Al or even Honest Abdul (from Beau Peep). Happy new year, ’Cappers!

Besides you can bet (no pun intended) that online sports betting sites like Fanduel and William Hill have cut into Honest Harry’s business.

I like the phrase “done for fraud”. i wonder if it means “arrested for fraud” or “convicted of fraud”. Please excuse my interest in etymology. It extends to idioms.

General speaking, anyone with the word “honest” in their name is anything but! (e.g. Honest John’s Used Cars.)

The word Honest when used as an adjective almost always creates an Oxymoron.
