I believe what Gallagher was found guilty of was breaking Navy rules, especially in posing with the corpse. Not for killing a terrorist. So what Trump is really saying is that following the established rules has no meaning, and breaking them has no consequences. That’s sure good for military order.

The military is increasingly disturbed by Hair Groppenfuror’s attitude towards it. His actions directly contravene their codes of conduct and send the message that soldiers are not accountable for their actions. He is destroying long term alliances and making military planning impossible. But what else is expected from a cowardly, xenophic, narcissistic president who avoided his own military service?
