Fred Rogers was a champion for children, regardless of the color of their skin, where they were born or if they didn’t conform to some adults’ ideas of “normal”.
The callous bigotry we see in the Oval Office was around when Mister Rogers was on the air & he fought it in his own special, gentle way.
We need more nice guys now like Mr. Rogers who served his country, was a carrying compassionate man and wasn’t afraid to show it—unlike the garbage in the current administration.
