One company I worked for used PCs to do technical work. They were pretty cheap on resources. Also there was so many pirated games loaded on company computers it was a joke until a virus got in.
I went through the ILOVEYOU virus in 2000. All the women and a few guys in the company just had to open it! We finally got it cleaned and files restored, and an idiot opened it again!

I was a repair tech/geek and the business manager grabbed me. I removed a “Melissa” macro before anybody had ever heard of it.
