BBC!!#10 – This is the late Pudsey. Red Tabby Persian (Technically not ginger……..!) , half sister to Heyme, Gismo, and Vuedue. She was yet another one of the six Persians I took in as part of a rescue (One more Persian to go!). Pudsey and Vuedue looked the most alike of the half sisters.
I have one like that. One among six. She was born feral in an abandoned school building where a neighbor watched them until they were ready to wean. She came to us. She was only partially socialized. She spends the day high on a shelf in a shed or nestled in a kayak in the shop. You may not approach. She’s never seen out until it’s time for all to enter their sanctuary safe cat house to eat and spend the night. Others share quarters, but she has her own nest provided just for her. For a while, she tended to get picked on when one of the others wanted amusement. She the only female among males and is smaller than the others. She’s first out in the morning, back to her day beds. She doesn’t seek affection and is easily spooked but enjoys being petted but not held. I imagine her to be a sad little cat, but she’s safe and warm and fed and seems no longer to be picked on. So she may just be having the life she prefers.

6. No clock needed, ever. I swear that my cat knew when it was my lunch time (I shared with him) and when it was my bedtime (I gave him some Temptations treats).

Wonderful poem. Poor kitty. :( I find it’s best to give shy people (and cats) their space and just let them be. They’ll socialize when they’re ready. On another note, saw a gray squirrel while out walking today.
We just brought cat #20 in on Friday. She (?) is fixed (didn’t know that before we trapped her), but at about 4 months I think we can socialize her. Why someone would trap her & get her fixed, but not at least try socializing at that young an age, I don’t know.

We just brought cat #20 in on Friday. She (?) is fixed (didn’t know that before we trapped her), but at about 4 months I think we can socialize her. Why someone would trap her & get her fixed, but not at least try socializing at that young an age, I don’t know.
