Totally beyond Rita’s understanding.

Rita understands perfectly. Making other people happy, makes , so does corporate backing, just ask my Mercedes and my round trip First Class tickets.

Fact is making my boss happy lead’s to me making more money, which lead’s to me being able to afford to be happy.

And she still calls him Ted!

The problem is of course, if you foster an “Owner’s Mentality” among your workforce they would take off like a rocket. That would require middle and upper management to actually think ahead and plan, to perhaps even take some risks, in order to keep up with their people. “No, No, that’s just crazy talk, perhaps you should take the afternoon off to calm down. I’m sure you will feed better tomorrow.”

At least she’s paying attention to a Ted talk…

Surveys show the more successful companies place emphasis on customer satisfaction and employees morale over profits seemed to do well. For example a supermarket chain in the Southeast has such a reputation that other chains are reluctant to hire them.
