We just had city elections, with a couple of candidates running unopposed. I’ve wondered what would happen if, theoretically, one of these unopposed candidates got zero votes. Maybe they couldn’t vote for themselves because they had an emergency, say.
It won’t happen, but I wonder if the election laws allow for it.

At one time Nevada had a “None of the above” option on the state ballot. It was removed after it won several races.
