    I saw a program (NOVA, probably) years and years ago that said many patients may have to try five or more different prescriptions to find the right one. That’s months and months of misery, and most patients get discouraged with side effects and lack of efficacy and stop after trying three prescriptions. That certainly happened to me. I tried Prozac, then Zoloft, and gave up because they didn’t help and I couldn’t function at my job.

    Oh my god, and my best friend has to get hospitalized every time she’s reached too high doses of a treatment and they switch her to a new one…

    Health Care is broken in this country. Mental Health Care is mostly in the dark ages around the world. (I’m talking systemically, not about some of the individuals who make great efforts at care)
