Today’s rewritten dialogue is in Panel 3. In 1990, it was Walkman. In 2019, it is music player.

That noise means, clean your room, tidy your room!

Time to ask for a new music player, Michael, for Christmas.

The family knows better than to go into your room, Michael.

And this is a good reason why Michael shouldn’t let his room get into such a mess.

You found it, Micheal.

The perils of a messy room re-assert themselves.

“I’m avoiding health hazards during pregnancy.” LOL

Karma.

Oops. But it serves you right, Michael!

This will teach Mike the value of keeping a room relatively clean better than any yelling or grounding ever could.

And I guess we see Elly (and Lynn’s) philosophy on teenage boys bedrooms.

On a good day, I’d tell him how sorry I was that it happened but maybe it would be better if he kept it up off the floor. That would surely earn some eye rolls and a disgusted sigh but it’s better than my real uge to just yell at him.

Time to clean up Mike.

Ha! Ha! That’s what you get for leaving your room like that.
