I haven’t seen anyone pay with a cheque in almost 20 years, and the last ones were people buying for organizations like the Lions Club, Optimist Club and church groups. Even they have cards now.
I agree. People are so goofy with this. I have been a cashier and have seen these impatient people. It’s from everything having instant gratification, people just don’t have patience. They act like they’re going to die. I had a friend in Sri Lanka who I told about how in America, when someone would be the fourth or even third person in line, they would be annoyed. She was so taken aback. Told me how it was common to have 50 people waiting at an ATM there. We Americans are so freaking spoiled. I promise that if someone counts out change, writes a check, actually puts their money or card back in their wallet after their purchase before leaving the register, breathes even, you will NOT die! Nor will it make you late for whatever. I used to so love that " I’m running late! " saying people would say after waiting in a line of more than 4 people or being behind one of the above. 9 out of 10 times, this was the same person walking around the store for hours. Even if not, how is it that person’s fault you’re late? Coming into a store to buy something when you need to be somewhere is YOUR fault! Anyway….off my soapbox now. ; )
IMO people like this Pest are ridiculous! I have stood in the “Express lane 10 or less” and there were 8 self-checkout kiosks; and had this Type walk up to me with 1 thing and asked to skip the line!I’ve had this same nonsense happen…when I was in a regular full service checkout line too; these FleaBrains are just too darn “Me-First & Lazy”….. >:^{
