Besides Syria, think back on the days when they also helped us with the Saddam situation in Iraq. Turkey is also the key to our intelligence gathering in the region, we’ve had a close relationship for a long time there. But of course, Bonespurs IS only thinking of his personal profits there.
Keep in mind Trump’s just the latest US president to abandon the Kurds, not that that remotely excuses it. The difference is that this time the US foreign policy establishment isn’t doing it as well.
trumps assets are far more important to him than American values. As other nations see trump about to be impeached and lose what power he has… they too will call in the favors he promised
This is just the first betrayal. Afgan collaborators and women, likewise our Iraq friends wait for Trump to pull our forces out so they too can die. Would not want all those 100000+ people to enter America expecting for free stuff.
Why anybody is surprised that Trump is betraying the Kurds baffles me: betrayal is Trump’s thing! He’s cheated on all three of his wives (so far), he’s declared bankruptcy six times (so far), he doesn’t pay his vendors, contractors, or his lawyers, and he even betrays his own flunkies, tossing them under the bus. Vladimir Putin is evil but not stupid, so of course he knew that Trump would betray the United States if he had the chance.
He’s pulling the troops out because Turkey told him that he could build a “Trump” Golf Course and Casino in the region, after all the Kurds are “taken care of”.
Called both of my senators to ask them to get Moscow Mitch to ACT instead of just giving lip service to this issue; got through to a staffer and gave them my message. When I tried to call MM’s office, it was answered by a recording and the voicemail box was full.

NO not yet we aren’t passed the point of no return. Not by a long shot. So don’t give up just yet. Though our enemies want you to think that and be that way. Don’t give up.

Drumpf’s more likely in the hostility business against anyone opposed to his interests.

Let’s not forget #45 has a relationship with Turkey already – there’s a Trump Tower Istanbul. And that’s all that matters to him. God help the Kurds.
