In the past when it came to politics while I might disagree on points of policy, I could still respect why the person across from me supported “the other guy”. I cannot respect anyone that still supports Trump.

So that’s probably him in the hole, impersonating Biden as Pompeo knows no one will come for his sorry hide.

I presume that Benson intends to say that The Twit managed to trap Biden on something that matters rather than (attempting) an en‍trapment on something that’s as weak as most of his efforts.
