On the other hand, today, impeachment is the vital issue facing the nation.

Attempted twice before, failed twice before.

Which emboldened the “chosen one” – who thinks he’ll get off scot-free.

Which he probably will. McConnell already has a simple majority if all he wants to do is dismiss charges from the House (should they ever make it to the Senate – I’m not holding my breath).

And at the end of the day, the question is: Is there a mechanism to control an out-of-control president?

Scott, it’s not that everyone’s attention is not there. It’s that the Republican enablers in the Senate prevent any restraint of what he does.

I thought that was what the tweets were for, distraction from the real actions.

When the democrats had the presidency and the Congress, they passed the PPACA, and provided subsidies for 21 million Americans to get access to healthcare.

When the regressives held both, they passed a tax bill that benefitted only the wealthy and further exploded our national debt.

Hmmmmm. Now who is serious about addressing the real issues facing the nation?

Trump and Rudy’s hits just keep on coming…

    http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/trumps-other-new-scandal-takes-even-more-serious-turn?

When Reza Zarrab, an Iranian-Turkish gold trader, was taken into federal custody in 2016, he faced some pretty serious charges. According to American prosecutors, Zarrab played a key role in a scheme to funnel billions of dollars to Iran, in defiance of U.S. sanctions.

(And the Trumpers were so mad at Obama when Obama released Iran’s own money back to Iran?)

(….And didn’t Trump break a deal so he could impose those sanctions?)

During a contentious Oval Office meeting with President Trump and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson in 2017, Rudolph W. Giuliani pressed for help in securing the release of a jailed client, an Iranian-Turkish gold trader, as part of a potential prisoner swap with Turkey.

The request by Mr. Giuliani provoked an immediate objection from Mr. Tillerson, who argued that it would be highly inappropriate to interfere in an open criminal case, according to two people briefed on the meeting….

Trump invited his secretary of State into the Oval Office for a meeting, at which point Tillerson was lobbied by Giuliani – a man with no formal ties to the administration or the president (yet) – to help derail a criminal case against a man accused of circumventing U.S. sanctions on Iran.

…if the president urged his secretary of State to interfere with the Justice Department, derailing the prosecution of one of his friend’s clients, that would almost certainly constitute an impeachable offense.

Which is to say, another impeachable offense.

The most vital issue was to “Make America Great Again.” Trump has done so by caving in to Vlad Putin, Kim Jon Un, Xi Jinping, and Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to name a few. All of whom he has called “Great leaders” and he is trying to emulate. /s

Allegations are that Trump used US military aid as leverage to get Ukraine to investigate Joe and Hunter Biden.

This past week after a conversation with Turkey’s president Trump decided to withdraw the US troop supporting the Syrian Kurds. Did Erdoğan trump Trump. Was there talk about the ownership of Trump towers in Istanbul?

Our problem being that every day Individual One remains in office brings the nation closer to bankruptcy and the planet closer to World War Three.
