How about we see what Trump said before you start making inaccurate comparisons?

Chip, what Obama said was absolutely correct. He COULD be more flexible after the election. That is true of every single president. That is NOT, however, an indication of collusion with a foreign power or trying to coordinate efforts with that foreign government. Doesn’t even sound like it, though you and your ilk have worked your hardest to make it so. In truth, what you are doing is deflecting from the real crime that is being investigated of — and obstructed by — the current administration. The current understanding is that the sitting president has been observed trying to cut a deal with the Ukrainian leader to dig up or manufacture dirt on Biden in order to help the sitting president’s re-election bid. However, even though the IG forwarded this to the DNI as of grave concern, the DNI — under the president’s orders apparently — has blocked the report from being shared with congress as the law requires. THAT is what you are covering up, Chip.

Gee Chip, by posting that cartoon you are admitting what Trump did is wrong. Welcome to the sane side of things.

As there is no pressure to campaign for reelection in the second term. what Obama said was true for any reelected president. Is there any other reason that Chip would try to spin an innocuous remark like that as something bad?

Bok’s been doing cartoons like this for a long, long time. Apparently his editors never noticed as the dementia slowly slipped in.

That this is being brought up again shows the reason that Obama said it.

Obama said he would have more flexibility to discuss issues after election, “particularly missile defense”. Just mentioning this discussion put Repubs in propaganda overdrive. Discussions about missile defense are normal for presidents, but if it’s Obama, the Repubs will twist it beyond recognition.

Now that Trump has secret meetings with no paper trail and no witnesses, the Repubs and people like Bok think that’s OK.

fantastic. already rolling with the false equivalences. No intelligence officers were so thoroughly disturbed by what Obama said that they felt the need to report it.

More like an invention of alternative facts. If Obama had done anything remotely like this, he would have been impeached faster than a RepubliCON could slide a large campaign donation into his pocket. It must be pleasant in the RepubliCON world of unicorn and butterfly pictures. (The real butterflies are well on their say to extinction. Thanks to the RepubliCON EPA.

…because stating the obvious, that a president has more flexibility after an election than before an election, is exactly the same as withholding military aid to Ukraine until Congress forces him to release it, or to eliminate sanctions and try to put Russia back in the G8 after they were removed for invading Ukraine to begin with, or to give highly classified information to Russians in the Oval Office. And that’s just the stuff that hasn’t been covered up. Bok is either stupefyingly ignorant or deliberately lying. Probably both.

Trump Disciples don’t notice subtle events like when the Ukraine regime changed from being a puppet of Putin to one oriented to the West.

They also don’t notice things like Trump’s campaign manager and first National Security advisor being unregistered PAID FOREIGN AGENTS of the Putin puppet regime.

As my mother would say “Comparisons are invidious.” Obama being an occasional jerk is somehow supposed to excuse The Orange Menace being a sexist, racist, arguably treasonous liar 100% of the time?

Compared to the Blow Job Trump gave him in Helsinki? Of course if you dispute that Trump gave him a B;low Job we can refer to the interpreter’s notes.

That’s hardly a whistleblower complaint, as the entire world heard it. And Obama never gave away state secrets to the Russians.

Its treason for Trump to ask another country to interfere in our election and smear an American political opponent.

I remember the stink that happened when he said it, too. And yet Obama never did anything on the level of Trump.
