This reminds me of the first time I took my dog to doggie day care. She’s a rescue dog and was labelled a “Corgi mix”. Since all her paperwork said that, she was signed up as a small dog, and enrolled in the small dog group. Even as a puppy she had incredibly long legs for a “Corgi mix” but they put her in the small dog group anyway. After watching her for about 10 minutes crawl on her belly to fit in with the little dogs the trainer decided she should be in the large dog group and moved her. She did fit better physically with the bigger dogs, but in her mind she seems to relate much better to the smaller dogs. I guess she identifies as small even though as a full-grown dog she is very big (90 lbs).

I still love seeing a dog’s tail wag.

If you’re just a bit too big, then put your head on one side, open your eyes really wide, and wag. They’ll let you in.
Oh yes, and flop one ear if you can.

Love the drawing of the happy dog with the bone. That was just as funny as the cartoon.
