Trump’s declaration that he’d never heard of a “category 5” hurricane was immediately followed on one of my MSNBC shows by four or five video clips of him speaking the words “category 5” while referencing previous hurricanes hitting the United States (there were four category 5 hurricanes that struck America since he took over the Oval Office).

NOAA is the latest government agency to capitulate to Trump. Trump has now successfully politicized the weather. Since he now knows more about hurricanes than anyone who has ever studied meteorology, he must therefore know more about climate change.

Forget the American model. Forget the European model. Trust the Trump model. After all if he is, as his followers believe, GOD, then he knows where hurricanes will go because they go where he tells them to go.

He did, however, miss the opportunity to nuke the hurricane when it was over Puerto Rico. He could have solved two of his problems at once.
