Just a thought, we had “open carry” in ‘Nam, until we had so many people getting shot by idiots, they made us start locking ‘em up! El Paso, Miami, so many cities are already more dangerous than ‘Nam was, and we want open carry?

I used to completely avoid shopping at Walmart. However, when I was recently shopping online, my three choices were to buy the product at Amazon, Walmart or pay a LOT more. At least Walmart pays taxes unlike Amazon, so I picked them. While I applaud this action from Walmart, I still avoid going into their stores.

Putting the load on those old geezers Walmart greeters hardly seems fair. Just a thought.. but perhaps those greeters could provide plastic bags to “hide” the armament as they patrol the aisles.

Attention Walmart shoppers: The next Trump rally will start in 10mins. Good seats still available.

The only “good” seats at a Trump rally are MILES away from the rally, with no access to TV or the internet!

Time was in America’s wild, wild west when the cowboys (drovers) arrived in towns like Dodge City, the sherrif made them check their guns at his office. I’m getting nostalgic for those mythical days.

I literally don’t get it: Why is it better to NOT know that someone has a gun with them?

From the news reports on the Dayton, Ohio, Mass murder: (cribbed from Wikipedia)

“A mass shooting was carried out in Dayton, Ohio, United States, on August 4, 2019. Ten people were killed and 27 others were injured. Seventeen of the injured were shot by the gunman, who was killed by police within 32 seconds of the first shots.”

America’s premier domestic terrorist organization, the National Rifle Association, keeps telling us that, “The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun!”

Please note that it took ONLY thirty two SECONDS for the supposed “good guys” to take down the terrorist, once the assault started – and in that thirty-two SECONDS the terrorist managed to kill 10 people and injure 27 others!

So let’s just STOP TALKING about good guys with guns and bad guys with guns, and concentrate on why the terrorist had access to a military assault weapon.

    Hunting?

Of course, the only prey that needs that kind of firepower would be “human” prey.

Naturally, the argument could be advanced that such a weapon would be useful when hunting a massive herd of crazed deer or antelope, and I guess there ARE people out there stupid enough to buy into such an argument, but, outside the occasional herd of crazed deer or attacking rabid wolves, such a weapon is ONLY GOOD FOR KILLING PEOPLE, so why was he allowed to possess such a weapon?

I came the closest to being shot in ‘Nam when two American idiots shot at each other and came closer to shooting me. I’ll never forget the sound of that round whizzing by my ear.

Wallyworld is all about the bottom line (and lets not even get into what so many WW customers stuff their bottoms into). They did this because they saw bigger profits (or at the very least less profit shrinkage) from doing it. Nothing else. (Why they saw that might be worth looking into.)
