I went to see them cluster at a park in Michoacan, Mexico, in the mountains. It’s fantastic. They were just arriving in great numbers and they would light on anything, including us.
Lovely concept for a cartoon! Who has ever depicted a ‘butterfly stampede’?Perhaps this idea should be passed on to those who manage the Calgary Stampede….would really entrall all the kiddoes…..

I remember the last time I experienced a butterfly stampede. The screaming! The abject horror! The running to find a safe place.
Then my kids told me to behave, that I was overacting again; ummm, overREacting.
