Does law enforcement feel safer with all the guns out there? That’s a question that needs to be asked. Personally I feel safer in those countries where the police do not have to carry firearms, although these seem to becoming fewer and fewer.

^ Can you explain the black tape? Is Ramirez suggesting that law enforcement personnel should be blinded? Or?

The security guards that are supposed to protect us run the other way when they hear an AR-15 firing, they don’t want to deal with it.

The NRA has kept Black Talon and cop killer bullets and semi-automatics legal.

Ramirez is pretending he is shocked by Officers getting killed by the guns his Republican Party have made available to cop killers.

The arrest of a school police officer who failed to confront a gunman at a high school in Parkland, Florida, has opened a debate over what kind of punishment would be fair. Should he really be put behind bars for decades?

Former Deputy Scot Peterson, 56, stood outside building 1200 on the campus of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School for 48 minutes as rifle shots rang out from within during the 14 February 2018 massacre.

The attack claimed the lives of 17 people and left 17 more injured.

For his apparent inaction, and for warning other responding officers not to approach, Mr Peterson was widely vilified by parents of victims, law enforcement officials and President Donald Trump who claimed that he “doesn’t love the children”.

Fifteen months later, the 30-year veteran – who worked at the school for nine years and resigned days after the attack – has been charged with seven counts of child neglect with great bodily harm, three counts of culpable negligence and exposure to harm, and one count of perjury.

So he wasn’t even going to try his 9mm against that AR15?

Safer than what? We’d all feel safer if the number of murder-only weapons available to the general populace were much reduced. Some of “us” might also be peeved at having them bought at forced sale, but we’d all feel safer. Including cops.

The NRA and the RNC have seen to it that in many cases the cops are simply outgunned. And that’s the fact, jack.

If only the police and military could legally obtain such weapons, I’d feel much safer.

To answer the cartoon’s question… no, I don’t feel safer, nor do I feel less safe, and neither is affected by the cartoon or its intended message.
