Sensibility, cooperation, and compromise seem to be restricted to just private organizations that want to add value and make profits. Sensibility, cooperation, and compromise are not seen as useful in our binary political system that has zero incentives to enable them and seemingly infinite ways to obstruct them.
Said the Honorable Mr. Stewart, “Could we all agree that violence regardless of the reason should always be condemned?” Not even a burglar could have said that better! If you don’t look for “the reason” of a problem, then you’re not looking for a solution. After all, “thoughts and prayers” fix everything, don’t they? /s
I am an old man who watched too much TV as a child. I recall the opening of the “Ben Casey” show, where a medical school professor would place symbols on the board which translated as “man” “woman” “birth” “death” and “infinity”. So I read this cartoon as a comment on our current human condition: our current “infinity” is a crime scene. And we need to do something about it, dammit.

We must cross the crime scene tape surrounding the white house in order to take America back from criminal control.

Rep. Chris Stewart (R-Utah) got a little taste of a testy town-hall meeting.
