A guy whose eyes were wide open and who could ably convey what he was experiencing. I’ve got several books of his cartoons, and I can almost feel the war around me when I look at them. Shakespeare characterized the world as a stage and all of us merely players. Yeah, I mean wars have only stopped slavery, genocide, ended dictatorships, and driven many technology advances, telegraphs, radio, plasma (the blood type), advancements in medical treatments, the birth of republics and democracy, etc… So while we are at it let’s just go back to the pre nation-state way of living.
