    I remember 65 years ago in Chicago during the heat waves there, there was always a picture in the newspaper of some one doing a sunny side up egg on the side walk.

    On a hot day our scoutmaster would break the shell from the end of an egg. Hold it in the sun for a few seconds. Declare it cooked and swallow the ‘cooked’ contents.

    Back in the day I’ve been know to throw some food into tin foil and put it on the manifold (back when it was accessible). 50, 60 miles down the road it was ready to eat.
